It took a little time to get a handle on the production. The setting is the wonderful town of Galashiels, south of Edinburgh, north of Dumfries, home to Robbie Burns. A dear friend of ours, Ken (Bomber) Laidlaw was born in Galashiels near the end of the Second World War. We had the pleasure of visiting with Ken and his mates in May, 2005, when my brother took these marvellous images of the hills above the town, Galashiels, Scotland. Ken died a bachelor, May 2006, in his beloved home beneath the hills - Galashiels. Nancy, I know you have been under the weather lately. Hope this cheers you up .
