Part 3 of 4. The standing stones at Ballymeanoch are unusual in that they form two lines rather than a typical circle. Also at this site is an unusual small stone bordered enclosure and a henge. The two stones to the north of the line of four once had a third stone which had a hole right through it. Wind noise spoiled me talking about this so it was edited out. In this video I try to explain my theories as to what the people in Neolithic times used these stones for but I didn’t quite manage to get everything across as I meant to as Lewis was impatient to move on. However, I am sure I will make another video about standing stones in the future when I will go into more detail. It’s very hard trying to think of what to say, to say it, watching where I’m going, watching the camera angle, making sure the camera is backed onto any wind, keeping an eye on Lewis and so on. Making these videos makes me realise why scripts, cue cards and multiple shoots are used in TV documentaries. When I view the footage at home I always think..”Argh no I forgot to say….” or “That’s wrong! Idiot!” or “Why didn’t I film from that angle?” or "Why do I always sound so bloody serious?"
